The short hair adapts to all the face shapes ?

The season is changing and also the trends, coverall in the runway the most famous faces are framed with new haircuts that, it do not fit doubt to me that, will be the ones that will mark the trend of haircuts which we will see during Autumn-Winter of this year.

It is all about changes. And they have understood it, Freja Beha, Alison Nix, Anja Rubik, Agyness Deyn and Milagros Schmoll.

Today men also follow trends, no longer only the women are interested in all new fashion or style that arises, but the men also go leaving the prejudices and leave the look into the hands of the hair stylists.


But the short hair adapts to all face shapes ?

In theory: yes. But actually, it depends. Nevertheless here are some basic rules:

- An oval face can allow everything. Natalie Portmann, Demi Moore are good examples: even with the shaved head, the beauty remains intact.

- To a triangular face it is good to add volume in the nape but not in the high part of the head; because the form of the face would not be extended.

- To a round face: will be good to make a cut that gives height sensation, to extend the face. However, the sides will be due to work with discretion. The nape of the neck will be long.

- A square face will adapt easily to a slight cut, with movement, that fits the face with smoothness. To avoid: too much structured cuts, which can damage the characteristics.

The shape of the skull also has to be consider, especially in the very short cuts. In summary, is essential to engage in a dialog with the hair stylist, mainly when it is decided on a short cut.

- What details have to take care of, not to seem too masculine?

It depends on the face, but upon general rule, it agrees to avoid the too noticeable sideburns. Most important it is to choose a smooth cut, especially for the zones that surround to the sideburns and the nape of the neck.
