Lord & Taylor unveils holiday windows

Lord & Taylor announced its fetivities for 2007 holidays. The Young People's Chorus of New York City will open the ceremonyin front of the main doors of the Lord & Taylor flagship.

Lord & Taylor announces the unveiling of CHRISTMAS IS THE MOMENT!, its 2007 holiday windows, Tuesday, November 13, 5:00 PM. Jane Elfers, Lord & Taylor's President and CEO, will be joined by special guests Iman, Founder and CEO of IMAN Cosmetics and Global Ambassador of Keep a Child Alive, and Larry Jones, Founder of Feed the Children. The Young People's Chorus of New York City will perform under the direction of its Founder and Artistic Director, Francisco J. Nunez.

For more than 80 years, Lord and Taylor has shaped and shared the enchantment of Christmas in New York. For the 2007 holiday season the Lord and Taylor building on Fifth Avenue, a historic landmark, will once again be outlined by thousands of tiny lights, a bright showcase of the festive holiday spirit for which the city is known, while the legendary windows will reveal that Christmas is the Moment to experience a variety of fundamental joys through the five senses.

The festivities begin at 5 pm in front of the main doors of the Lord & Taylor flagship. A special performance by internationally renowned The Young People's Chorus of New York City will open the ceremony. At 5:30 pm, Ms. Elfers will present donations on behalf of Lord & Taylor to Keep a Child Alive as well as to Feed the Children. Founded in Mombassa, Kenya, in 2002, Keep a Child Alive is organized for charitable and educational purposes designed to accelerate action to combat the global AIDS pandemic. Feed the Children, founded by Larry and Frances Jones over 25 years ago, provides assistance to families in the United States and 118 countries around the world. In addition, the Lord & Taylor Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays gift card will also benefit the Feed the Children organization.
