Payless against Breast Cancer

Payless started the ware with cancer. Only with $2 the symbol of this ware coul be bought from Payless stores. In 3 years Payless have raised over 1.5 milion $ for this fight.

This is Payless' fourth annual Taking Steps to Fight Breast Cancerprogram to benefit breast cancer research and outreach programs. Over thepast three years, Payless and its customers have raised more than $1.5million for the Susan G Komen for the Cure, the leader of the breast cancermovement. Payless said it will again donate 100 percent of the net profitsfrom the bracelet sales to Komen for the Cure to support breast cancerresearch and community outreach programs.

According to the American Cancer Society Facts & Figures for 2007,breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among American women ofall ages and is second only to lung cancer in cancer deaths. In 2007, anestimated 178,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to occuramong women in the United States and more than 40,000 will die from thedisease. An estimated 2,030 men will be diagnosed and 450 are expected todie of breast cancer in 2007.
