Star like Make-Up

Let’s see what the Departement Head Bruce Grayson recommand us to use
to glow like a movie star !

Olay Press Release :

“From backstage and behind the scenes at the Emmys, here’s a wrap-up of
Sunday night’s leading looks from Primetime Emmys Make-up Department
Head Bruce Grayson.

The Skin: Skin is really the canvas for the make-up and if the skin has
imperfections, more make-up is needed to cover those flaws. Stars across
the board, including not-so-desperate Housewives Marcia Cross and Eva
Longoria shined thanks to transparent make-up that accentuated their
gorgeous glowing skin.

The Lips: This year, the emphasis was on the lips. While smoky eyes
have stolen the spotlight at past awards shows, lipstick is now back in a
big way. Whether it’s moisture matte or a glossy formula, you can’t go
wrong with shades of plums, reds and pinks. One of my favorites is MAC Viva
Glam Lipstick in Viva Glam V ($14 at maccosmetics.com). It’s got subtle
gold undertones that enhance the natural lip color. Both Katherine Heigl
and Christina Aguilera paired bold lip color with white dresses for a very
‘classic Hollywood’ look that made for a big impression.

The Eyes: With bold lip colors, celebrities opted for soft eyes. Before
I even begin to apply eye make-up, I like to start with Olay Definity Eye
Illuminator ($25.99 at drugstores nationwide) because it has multi-colored
micas that help to hide imperfections. It limits the amount of make-up I
need to use around the eye and this strategic use of make-up helped to
create a beautiful look that was anything but “over-done.” Sunday night,
eyes were simply framed with false lashes instead of heavy liner. Celebs of
all ages, including America Ferrera and Teri Hatcher left the heavy eye
make-up at home, letting brighter lip colors speak for themselves.

The Cheeks: Make-up with too much shimmer is very distracting when
caught on camera and can create a lot of shine. Most stars, like Ellen
Pompeo, stuck with subtle cream blushes that blend seamlessly into the
cheeks for a natural glow. My foolproof recommendation is Nars The Multiple
in Malibu ($36.50 at Sephora). It’s a pinkish-brown cream that can be
applied with just your fingertips for sun-kissed cheeks. The make-up on
this year’s Red Carpet reflected that “looking real” style without
appearing over-done, and cream blush was a key element in creating that
look.”
