Valentino will step down in January 2008

Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, best known as Valentino was born in the spring of 1932, 11 May in Voghera, North of Milan, Italy. Valentino is one of the biggest fashion designers having his origins in Italy. He takes courses in fashion design and studies French to prepare himself to move to Paris.
It is after a few years’ apprenticeship in the Fashion Houses of Guy Larochen that Valentino returns to Rome to open his own atelier in Via Condotti. His fashion house is among the world’s most famous fashion empires. He will be forever in the history of fashion known like a creator of the elegant and classic.
Few days ago Valentino Fashion Group announced that Valentino will step down in January 2008 after two up-coming shows who will take place in October and in January. Stefano Sassi, chief executive at Valentino Fashion Group said: « Mr. Valentino is the genius who developed a unique area of values and stylistic codes to support a unique and exclusive brand with a remarkable up-side stile to exploit. »
Alessandra Fachinetti will be responsible for the creation of Valentiono Fashion Group starting 2008 for womeanswear collections.
