True North Gems Inc. Press Release:

True North Gems is pleased to announce the completion of its field sampling program with the successful collection of its third 2007 bulk sample, from the Aappaluttoq ruby and pink sapphire occurrence on the Company's Fiskenaesset Ruby Project, located on the southwest coast of Greenland. Together with material previously sampled in 2006 and 2007 (see press release of September 13, 2007), True North has now extracted a total of 120 tonnes of mineralized surface material and rock from the Aappaluttoq ruby occurrence.

The recently completed bulk sample had a total weight of 27.8 tonnes and was collected from the bedrock exposure of the ruby and pink sapphire-bearing interval at the Aappaluttoq occurrence. This occurrence is the most significant ruby prospect discovered to date on the property and, in this location, measures between one and two metres in width. The trench exposed by the 2006 and 2007 bulk sampling measures up to 3 metres in both depth and width, and up to 7 metres along strike. Ruby and pink sapphire occur within tightly folded zones of phlogopite and pargasite-enriched alteration, referred to as the Host Zone, which is coincident with the geological contact between the ultramafic and anorthosite.

This 27.8 tonne portion of the 120 tonne bulk sample was collected from bedrock using focused, low intensity blasting to ensure grade and width control. This blasted sample also will provide an analysis of the gemmological criteria and gemstone conditions that would occur under typical mining conditions. In addition, data collected from this sample will be used to compare grade and stone distribution data garnered from the earlier 2006 sample and the 2007 portion of the Aappaluttoq bulk sample collected with chain saws and chisels.

True North has also completed thirty-two mini bulk and channel samples from selected ruby and pink sapphire occurrences identified during the 2006 and 2007 mapping and prospecting programs on the 110 square kilometre property. These samples, comprising an aggregate of 3.6 tonnes, were collected by diamond chain saw, from several occurrences which include Mikisoq, Sarfaq, and Ridgetop, located on the 2.6 kilometre Ruby Island Line which adjoins and occurs along strike from Aappaluttoq. Other prospects sampled include, Siggartartulik, Pupiq, Upper Angnertusoq East, and the Kangarssuk Main and East Occurrences. All of these ruby and pink sapphire occurrences exhibit similar mineralogical and lithological parameters to those associated with the Aappaluttoq prospect.

All of the 2007 samples have been delivered to Fiskenaesset for processing in True North's gravity concentration plant. An update on the sample processing results will be provided shortly.

The planning and execution of the ruby exploration and quality control programs at the Fiskenaesset Ruby Project are under the supervision of Greg Davison, True North Gems' VP Exploration. Mr. Davison is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Wardrop Engineering is engaged to act as Independent Qualified Person to provide site due diligence, project oversight, quality assurance, and the preparation of the Preliminary Assessment of the Aappaluttoq ruby occurrence.
